What is it with the name?

Over the years our name has had different interpretations from people. These include Baby Attitude, B@@$$ Attitude, Batitude; but to clarify, the name comes from the account in the Gospels of one of the most famous stories. The 'Beatitudes'. A talk that seemed to challenge aspects of social justice, commitment to one another and values of life.

The big aim?

The big aim is very simply to try and create spaces where we serve into the local community.

How is that done then?

We have set up a few spaces to help with that. These include

Selling and distributing quality good as new babies and childrens clothes.
Providing a comfortable environment for drinks, snacks as well as a small play area.
Offering an opportunity for friendship.
Being a resource where we can distribute services and items donated to us.
Being able to repsond immediately.
An active resource to help develop community and social enterprise schemes.
Helping to release and encourage dreams and ideas.

So is this run all out of the shop?

No, but it is the main contact point for many of these elements. For us the shop holds great value and worth; providing a good and honest space for people to share, connect and invest in one another.

You up for any new ideas?

Always. For us the greatest importance is about being fluid and making sure that we are always shaped around helping our local community. By no means are we the gatekeepers for projects, so you should find that there are many connections that could help you with any ideas. So feel free to contact us at the shop or through this website and you never know what could happen. The key thing in it all; is that we 'collectively' invest into one another.
